Was this inspired by the Corgi AA99120 set? Btw, that is an impressive desktop mural, JP!

No planes, just a picture of the boy in his ACUs posing for his official photo. The other is a painting done by a Osprey Illustrator friend of mine.

How about this pic of a model Stranrear Flying Boat which I saw on ebay for $124!

The Stranrear was designed by R.J. Mitchell for the RN. Also, our holiday house is in Stranraer which served as a base for about 1,000 flying boats during the course of the war. You can still see all the sea defences and the hard aprons by the shore if you go there. There is said to be a perfectly preserved Short Sunderland still in the Loch where it sunk at its moorings. ( local folklore? )

Yes, this is the one I use on my desktop. I change my desktop picture about every three weeks.
