Thanks for posting that link.
I really had no idea which one would win on such a short run.
That Lotus is a very fast car too..I pulled for the Spitfire as i was watching it..

Re: Charlie Brown and Spitfire race.

Glad you liked it chaps. Charlie spends all his spare time doing charity events and such. He is a great guy and works all the time to give the WW11 pilot veterans a chance to see the Spitfire again. He goes to countless Veteran rallies and displays the old girl. He has the patience of a saint with us crazy enthusiasts and will always take time to talk with people and show them around his Spitfire. Charlie was lead pilot for the Merlins trip to Malta as I am sure you all know. At the begining of the film you will see him sitting with a chap called Howard Cook. Howard runs and flys in a formation team called the Red Sparrows. (4 Chipmunks) they are called the Red Sparrows because they are like the Red Arrows but slower!!!!! Ps Howard is also a qualified Spitfire and Hurricane pilot. I have the video of Howard taking his first solo in the Spit. When he landed you could see the relief on his face that all had gone well. Howard took me up in his Chippy last year and put me through a display routine. OH dear get the sick bag!!!!!!!!!!!! Loops rolls etc. blacked out once but loved every minute of it.

God Bless America.

Re: Charlie Brown!

Very cool - thanks for that Jim! My wife will like this clip since she's a Lotus fan.

She says she'll take the car, I can have the Spitfire.... Oh, the sacrifices we men must make....
