I know I'm going to be in the minority, but this is one of few times in my life, that I think that the movie is totally insulting and politically incorrect. I bet that Sasha Baron Cohen can't even find Kazakhstan on the map since he used European country, i.e. Romania as a substitute for the Asian one, Kazakhstan. Also, I didn't care much for the fact that he spoke Hebrew as a substitute for Kazakh language (well, everyone speaks Russian in Kazakhstan anyway).

I've not seen the movie, and have no plans to do so, do to what I've heard about it. Sergey, you pretty well summed up what I've heard about it!

i thought that was funny

just saw it this weekend. i thought it was very funny. in a sense, it's a sad look at our country with some of the stuff that people said and did in the movie, but i mean, as far as all the jokes and slander on people and culture, it's a movie made to make people laugh. i understand some people getting upset over it, but to me, it's a movie and it made me laugh, which is what he was intending to do.
interesting to note all the lawsuits starting to come out against him though, and it will be interesting to see what happens with them.
