Dear Santa...

Hey...

Hey...

Hey you guys. It's snowin' outside. It's the great white north and it's snowin' 'cause it's Christmas time. Have you got your letter to Santa all typed up? Have you conveniently left a copy of said letter where your loved ones can find it? That's cunning. You guys are smart.

Me, I don't really have anyone who'd buy me any die-cast for Christmas. Don't feel bad for me tough. It's not as bad as it sounds. I get a lot of other cool stuff. I'm not suffering.

Sometimes though, I wish Santa would come through, and bring me what's on the list. The last piece of die-cast I need, or at least want really bad.

So I guess the point of this thread is, what's on your X-mas list? If you could have just two items:
1. The piece that's out there somewhere, but you don't have it yet. The black double chevron Losigkeit Fw, or the S for Sugar Lanc.

2. The dream piece. The Beaufighter your Grandpa flew in, the B-17 livery you've always loved, the Skyhawk that you shot at with your Daisy bb gun when you lived by NAS Dallas back in the '70s that mysteriously crashed just a few minutes later (Sure the pilot got out OK, but you never did that again did you?). Let your imagination run wild. Hope everyone gets what they wish for..

For me this was easy...
1. Corgi's AA32602, the 1/72 Battle of Britain Memorial Flight set. Mmm. Lanc.
2. Dragon 1/72 P-51 Mustang Mk.IV in the livery of 442 (RCAF)Squadron's B-Y2 "Edmonton Special".

Re: Dear Santa...

I really would love a S for Sugar as well.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Dear Santa...

If you read my first post, you would note that the Mustang is my "dream piece", a model that doesn't actually exist, but I would ask Santa for. The picture is of a 1/32 Hasegawa Mustang by Randy Lutz, and there is more information about it at the IPMS Canada site.

Re: Dear Santa...

1) Corgi "Neville Duke" Spitfire [AA31904] or Corgi "Kepford" White 29 Corsair [AA33002] or Corgi FM Special Fw 190 [US34307] - any of the previous for retail/list price. (Anyone wanna be my "Santa", please PM. )

2) 3 piece Corgi 1:72 set - "Mission Beyond Darkness" USS Lexington 1944: Hellcat (Alex Vraciu); Dauntless SBD 5 (scheme of a guy at my church who flew this mission); and finally an Avenger (Scheme/pilot tbd with a little more research).

Re: Dear Santa...

One more question...

Does Santa own his own diecast factories in China or does he have to deal with the same production delays as the other companies?

Re: Dear Santa...

Nah man. It's a trip... the elves up at the North Pole make them under license from the die-cast companies. They've got a great research department and QC is strictly adhered to. And the stuff always shows up on time- under the tree Christmas morning...
