Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

. If U of M and OSU dont meet in the National Championship Game which I believe Saturdays game was, I hope OSU wins it. I hope all the Big 10 schools win their bowl games.

I'm with you on that, I always pull for the Big Ten team over non-conference opponents.

Where have all the Wolverines gone?

Should there be a re-match? IMO, no. I would have the same opinion had Ohio State lost. This was both teams shot at the championship and the loser goes to the Rose Bowl. You can't lose this late in the season and expect to advance. If USC beats Notre Dame then OSU should play USC. If Notre Dame wins, it should be Florida or Arkansas. Notre Dame does not deserve it after getting crushed on their home field, but if necessary, we can whip them again this year too.

Belated thanks to the custodians of the "Horeshoe". Thanks for the sod job!

Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

Ohio State is #1 & Michigan is #2. All the remaining teams are ranked below them for a reason. Both Florida & USC are over-rated. The only fitting end to this season is for OSU to stomp Florida & Uof M to do the same in the Rose Bowl to USC. I'm not in favor of a rematch. (Especially a U of M / Notre Dame game)!.....I also rate the Fiesta Bowl (National Championship game in general) as an inaccurate indicator of anything, as there is way too much time elapsed between 11/18 & 1/8. A Big Ten sweep is what is needed.

Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

I agree, Tri, and I do believe that "stomp" would be the operative word in both cases.

So, assuming OSU and Michigan do not meet again..... Go Blue, beat USC!

Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

So Florida is getting its shot with OSU. I don't think they have a chance but if the voters think the SEC is so good..well we'll just see.

Do they really think FL is better than MI or they just don't want a rematch b/c the TV coverage is better if they include the SEC states TV's too?
I can't for a minute concede that FL is a better team than MI though and I'd never be convinced that they could beat the Wolverines this year. Guess we'll never know. Did you guys watch the SEC Cham. last night? Talk about crazy track meet, sloppy football. My God, do they just throw it up every series to see who can catch. If Wisconsin and OSU don't beat AK and FL by a combined 50 points I'll be shocked.

On Wisconsin! I forgot about the Badgers. The Big Ten had better romp in all 3 of these games. I'll be a Buckeye fan for one game. Crush Florida! LSU would present a better opponent!

I'm not too sure about that. LSU got beat by 13 when they played FL but I do think they'll stomp the Irish into the ground. Oh, that will be sweet!

I hate the Irish worse than the Bucks!

& Broncos! The Western Michigan University Broncos are going bowling! Jan. 6 in Toronto. I'll finally get to watch the alma mater play. Now if the hockey team can just get to the Frozen Four it'll be a great year.

Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

I think the BCS got it right this year. It wasn't about Michigan being better than Florida or vice versa. The deciding factor was the human polls, not the computers, so obviously people did not think a rematch was warranted. If anybody should be upset it should be Wisconsin & Auburn. I just don't understand why over rated/hyped Notre Dame is held to a different standard.
