Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

Oh my God!! I was just listening to the Frank Beckman show this morning and there were no updates. Everything seemed fine...................this is a horrible blow.....What a fine man who did so much for the state and the school.

Well, if you can pull some strings for us up there tomorrow coach, please do.

Somehow that band from Columbus isn't so funny now!

Unhappy Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

Growing up in Michigan, I cannot remember a time when Bo was not a part of Michigan Football. He was truly a larger than life personality and a great man.

I am just stunned....

From the band's myspace page:

The band is crushed to learn of the death of Bo Schembechler. We named this band after Coach Schembechler to honor him as the face of Wolverine football. We have never wished ill will upon him in any way and have always wished him the best. When we learned that Bo had seen our web site and was amused by it we were delighted. We were simply delighted. He said to those with him as he read it, "See, I still matter in Columbus!" That may have been the greatest understatement in football history. We believe that he took the band's name as the compliment that it was meant as and that he was flattered by it. We wish to extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to his family. We are truly sorry for their loss.

Also, tonights show will be the last using their current name.

Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

Well, as I said earlier to Michigan fans predicting victory: I make no predictions, just wait and see what happens: OSU 42, Michigan 39.

But, I believe Michigan most certainly IS the 2nd best college football team in the nation. That being said, I would prefer to play someone else on January 8, as I believe it can be rather tough to win two games over a great opponent in the same season. But we'll see what happens.

Also, if Michigan does go to the Rose bowl, as is likely, GO MICHIGAN! Beat that PAC 10 team!

And, finally, in closing: GO BUCKS!

Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

Where have all the Wolverines gone?

Should there be a re-match? IMO, no. I would have the same opinion had Ohio State lost. This was both teams shot at the championship and the loser goes to the Rose Bowl. You can't lose this late in the season and expect to advance. If USC beats Notre Dame then OSU should play USC. If Notre Dame wins, it should be Florida or Arkansas. Notre Dame does not deserve it after getting crushed on their home field, but if necessary, we can whip them again this year too.

Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

I just wish they have one bowl game ....Like the SuperBowl..
There are so many Bowl games it's unreal..
I thought a few years ago they were thinking of doing that.

Judging from those pics (which are awesome by the way), it seems like you were sitting in exactly the same area as two of my friends.

Re: Wolverines and Buckeyes

Well a little late on my part to respond to "Theeee Game", but my computer has been down and out since last Saturday, I somewhat have it back up and running.
Congrats to all you Buckeye fans great game. If U of M and OSU dont meet in the National Championship Game which I believe Saturdays game was, I hope OSU wins it. I hope all the Big 10 schools win their bowl games.
