Which Non-U.S., British or German WW II Planes Do You Want Most?

A lot of diecast collectors would like to obtain more WW II planes from Japan, Russia, France and Italy. But we really want fairly reliable manufacturers like Corgi, Dragon and Hobby Master to produce and market such "collectibles", not those grind-'em-out-as-cheaply-as-possible Ixo/Altaya folks or the perpetually out of stock Marushin guys,or the slow moving, often "Mini-Me' scaled Model Power crowd. So here are a few likely candidates from the "other" countries. Which five of these planes top your wishlist in 1:72 scale? Japan:Oscar, Tony, Tojo, George, Frank, Nick, Nate, Val, Kate, Jill, Judy, Betty, Lily, Sally, Peggy, Helen, Nell, Mavis, Emily, Jake. U.S.S.R: IL-2M, I-15, I-153, Mig-3, LA5FN, LA-7, Yak-3, Yak-9, PE-2, IL-4. France: MS-406, Dewoitine D. 520, Potez 631. Italy: Fiat CR-42, Fiat G-50, MC-200, MC-202/205, Fiat G-55, RE- 2001/2002, SM79, SM-81, SM-84, Cant 1007Bis.

I would love to see a Kate, Val, Betty, IL-2, and a Japanese float plane (I don't really care which one).
I think the Kate in particular would have been made by now, as there are a couple of well known variations in color schemes and historical missions for individual markings. That and the fact that it could carry bombs or a torpedo. The other Japanese airplanes might be a bit more difficult as there aren't as many available colors.

I have a soft spot for some of the Italian machines you mention - MC 202 Folgore, MC 205 Veltro, Fiat G55, and SM 79 Sparviero. Beautiful planes!

Hmmm... MC.202, MiG-3 (winter camo), Val, Kate and Il-2. I'll take at least one of each in 1:72, please. With an Ar196 on the side...

I don't want to be greedy but right off the bat I'd go for the Yak 3, La 7, IL2, Macchi 205, Fiat G55, Dewoitine D520, Tony and Jack to name a few. Floatplanes like the Kyofu are also fairgame, love to see one of those! Most elusive however would be Emily, or a Sunderland for that matter but I fear I digress...

I would like to see a Mc 202 and SM79 to go with the Malta RAF planes, and maybe a Breda please.

The Sparviero and Macchi Folgore or Veltro are my choices as well. I need some Italian planes badly!

Italian : Reggiane 2002/2005 , SM79 Sparviero

French : Arsenal VG-33

Russian : Petlyakov Pe-2 , Tupelov Tu-2

Japanese : Really too many to count, but for starters : Nakajima B5N/B6N , Kawanishi H8K "Emily" , Mitsubishi Ki-57 "Peggy"

Re: Which Non-U.S., British or German WW II Planes Do You Want Most?

I would definitely like to see the following from either Corgi or Gemini. Hobby Master would be ok but they need to start producing pilots.
  1. Macchi 202 or 205
  2. La 5 or 7
  3. IL2
  4. Yak 3 or 9
