Re: Old model kits and box art

Cool, I have never seen the Spit Floatplane model before. That would have been way out there for Gartex since there was only 4 ever produced.

They really did a nice job on this kit, a real top notch model.

Re: Old model kits and box art

Nichimo put out some nice looking models too. Even though it is an older model, they did a pretty good job on this Oscar.

Re: Old model kits and box art

Couple of neat looking Japanese trainers. One the Willow is an Otaki and the Spruce is a Nachimo. Both models have some really nice detail to them.

You know just looking at that Oscar i remember i had the old Revell 1:32 Oscar Kit they made back in the early 70's.
These pictures are sure do bring up the good old days of modeling..

Their Oscar is a pretty good kit. They had quite a few good 1/32nd kits they put out in the early 70s. They had some neat 1/32nd scale kits, their P-40 is one that I made a couple of times.

Re: Old model kits and box art

Couple more that have some fairly good box art. I would like to see the Hs 126 done in diecast.

Re: Old model kits and box art

Neat to see other kits, I was always an Airfix/Frog builder mainly WW2 Brit and early jets. Never really paid attention to the products you are showing here. Thanks CC

Re: Old model kits and box art

Those are cool collections CC. Thnx for sharing. Love the Sonia. Someone should make the die cast version in 1/72 scale of course.

Re: Old model kits and box art

Here is a nice looking WWI kit. Glencoe made some fairly unusual kits.
