The Curtis is a real airplane. The Savoia S.21 is not. (There was a real S.21, but its not the same as Porco Rosso's.)

Re: Savoia S.21 and Curtiss R3C-0

Seems like there was a couple models made of the Savoia S.21. I found it done in both 1/72nd and 1/48th scale.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

You're right CC,its from Fine Molds.Any idea where i can get the "real" S.21 and if i'm not wrong the S.21 is a biplane.
Guys , you might want to try this site www.smallflyingarts.com. This guy makes an RC Savoia S.21 out of white packaging foam !!! Simply amazing ....

Re: Savoia S.21 and Curtiss R3C-0

I've finally found the real S.21 CC.Here's a pic of S.21 and the Porco Rosso's S.21 ( which is actually a Macchi M33 ).The artiste who drew the plane must have thought that the Macchi M33 was a S.21.

Neat pictures, thanks for posting them. Odd looking biplane configuration on that one, still looks good though,
