| Re: Airbrush suggestion Never heard of Anzen...I don't think they're available here. Go with the Paasche H .It's a solid workhorse. If you find that airbrushing is your 'thing' you can upgrade to the fancier stuff later. Have you decided what you're going to do about an air supply? | |||||||||||||

| Re: Airbrush suggestion That I can borrow(long story but the compressor will be kept in my house permanently but it's somebody's else The truth i was lookin for a Badger 100LG. everybody at FSM seems to be saying that it is a good airbrush. But none contradict that Paasche H is good. So perhpas Paasche H is a very good candidate for my first airbrush. Anzen is a cheapo imittaion of Iwata and is a junk. I'll stay away from them. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Airbrush suggestion
I reiterate my warning to avoid Badger like the plague. Here's why... Badger internal mix airbrushes have a poorly designed nozzle and do a poor job atomizing the heavier, large pigmented model enamels. For decades, Badger's nozzles had a design flaw that caused paint to collect on the "ceiling" (the upper inside surface) of the nozzle. About 45 seconds into spraying, the paint build-up, on the ceiling of the nozzle, would get large enough for the airflow to spit the built up paint onto the surface of the model-- ruining the paint job and requiring lots of wet sanding to re-prep the model for another attempt. In order to avoid this paint build-up spitting, you would have to wipe off the paint build-up, from the ceiling of the nozzle, every 30 seconds. If you forget this step, or wait to long, the airbrush spits paint all over your model. Several years ago, Badger implemented a "fix" by cutting narrow v-shaped grooved around the nozzle, effectively removing the part of the nozzle where the paint collected. It took them decades to correct the issue and, instead of re-designing their defective nozzle, they just did a quick and dirty makeshift repair. Their airbrushes, with the v-grooved nozzles, still do not atomize paint nearly as well as Iwatas or Paasches. Do not buy a Badger airbrush! You'll be very happy with the Paasche H | ||||||||||||||
