A few of my builds

Just finished up two 1/48th Revell-Monogram P-51D's. these kits are so cheap and they aren't that bad. i have a problem though just building mustangs! another one on the way in a few days as well being finished up. so many schemes i want to do. these are two from the 15th FG, 78th FS of the VLR mustang units based on Iwo Jima. just a little weathering and left them a little glossy, not throwing on some dullcoat, just something different. that's actually just the metalizer sealer from testors, and it's a bit enhanced from the pic. anyways...the other one i'm going to finish i'm gonna really put the weathering on seeing as where it was based, that being on Iwo.

Re: A few of my builds

Here's another Iwo VLR mustang I did a while back. This is the 1/48th Hasagawa kit. Really did some weathering on this, first time i went this heavy, but i like how it came out. The little stand for it too i was pretty proud of!!

OUTSTAINDING! is right!

This is the only way I am going to get all Mustang groups I guess: build them myself--unless Hobby Master and Gemini and Easy Models continue to offer such marking like the VLR planes.

Thanks for the pictures!

Re: A few of my builds

A great job buddy. I love the weathering.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: A few of my builds

Very nice Waltz, the weathering is outstanding. Did you use and detail accesories with the original kit?.
