Cool Lancaster Picture

I got this in a email this evening thought i share it with you.
This is a WWII Lancaster flying with only one engine turning.
I thought of all the Lancaster photos i have seen ...This is the first i have seen a Lancaster doing this.
I have seen a B-17 and B-24 before but not a Lancaster..
Cool picture.

Re: Cool Lancaster Picture

Cool pic Starman. According to one Lanc book I have, that is a demonstration of the power of the Bristol Hercules engines installed on the BII Lancaster. Now if Corgi would do one!

Lovely, lovely picture - nice to see a Mk.II for a change !!!!!!!!

Those Oil-cooler intakes look small - just like the ones fitted to the Mk.I Short Stirling...........

....................(as opposed to those fitted to the later Mk.III Stirling & Halifax B.III', VI's & VII's)

Thanks for posting - I haven't seen this one (pix) before !

I got it from my brother in-law....He was searching the web for Lancaster Info and came across this site that had other RAF planes on there
He sent me this link so you all can see what it has on it....Cool pictures on that site too.
