Canon makes some great digital SLRs, no doubt. For me it was all about price -- you can't beat the D50 for bang for the buck, though I really would have loved the D80... got the camera and 18-55mm lens for $550 a year ago, new. Canon was another $400 or so at the time. ANd I have some legacy lenses from a Nikon 6006 35mm SLR that I can use with the D50. | ||||||||||||||
