Warren Grove Range - A-10 pics

On 2.27.07 I was able to stop by the Warren Grove Bombing Range in NJ. It's located about 30 min NW of Atlantic City NJ. The day was packed with A-10s, who mostly visit the range, along with F-16s from mainly AC NJ. All four east coast ANG units were there, PA, MD, MA, and CT.....the only bad part was it was a pretty crappy day. Overcast, lots of clouds, which made for very rough camera conditions. I did the best I could, and well,....here's some of the results. Enjoy!

PA A-10s were up first, 3 ships, one acting as the Observation aircraft

Cool pictures. Note Litening II targeting pod under right wing. This is a relatively new addition to the A-10's capabilities.

Re: Warren Grove Range - A-10 pics

I love the T-Bolt II. When I was growing up in SC they would fly over our neighborhood at treetop level. I remember being at my neighbors ninth birthday party and one crested the top of the tall pine forest about two hundred yards away. The pilot evidently saw all of us kids playing outside because he dipped down and rocked his wings as he flew over us. It was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen. Of course, I was the only kid who knew what it was.

You have to love that raspy turbine sound it's engines make. It's certainly unmistakable.

Great pictures. I was in Tuscon a couple years ago and A-10's were flying constantly. They've always been one of my favorite planes.

I just love it when he shows us the A-10 pictures.
He is always taken great shots of them babys.
Love the pics and keep them coming.
I notice that too about that pod on the A-10 looks like a upgraded one.
