Re: Boomerang

Thanks for the link, I found his painting of Rudel's Stuka which is now the desktop background on my other computer. There's also a really nice Ju-88 painting. Btw, I think the red smear in the Boomerang painting is the side of a cliff.

Re: Boomerang

I seem to remember that the Boomer held some sort of record for being the quickest ever developed plane . I think it was draw up ,built, then flown on ops in under one year.

Now that I look at it again I think you're right! It's kind of like a Rorschach test

Re: Boomerang

I just hope we get a diecast one eventually.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Boomerang

The only way I can see us getting a Boomerang would be via a Texan/Wirraway conversion, as a lot of the components for the Boomerang came from the Wirraway (Wings, undercart etc).

Aren't HobbyMaster doing a Texan/Harvard, fingers crossed ya never know???

Cheers CKS1!

P.S. Does any one know if this art can be purchased any where???

Re: Boomerang

I think that someone did that with a real airplane. If I remember correctly, it looked really good.

As far as I know no. If you go here > www.ne.jp/asahi/airplane/museum/Ecl-pln2.html you can see much of his work and down load for use as wallpaper or print out to frame. His work has been used for calandars, model kit box art, etc. If prints of his art can be purchased I haven't found where.

Fuji Heavy Industries ltd. (Subaru) is the "Cooperator" (provider?) of the site. The person that runs it says he updates with new stuff every month.....so I have put it on my favorites.

Re: Boomerang

So sorry.

The artist: Shigeo Koike

Title: Boomerang

I don't understand anything else at the site........it's in Japanese.

My favorite artist! Very cool painting as usual.
