I have had the good fortune to visit Hendon a couple of times and I have to say that the Me110 is without doubt the spookiest looking plane I have ever seen.

In the subdued light it looks very menacing and scary, I wouldn't like to have been in the rear gunners position on a Lanc when one of those was approaching out of the night.

Last time I was at Hendon I got into trouble for touching the Me262 , hey thats the original paint on that , get you hands off, (Ooops).

I ran through the museum my one and only time in England in the late 90's -- I think I saw everything on the Tourist List in one exhausting day... I should have spent all day just at this museum!

I did sit out front with two old gents for a bit -- they were BOB pilots and were "discussing" the relative merits and contributions of the Spit versus the Hurri. I spoke with 'em for a bit, they were very nice -- even invited me back to their flat for a drink and discussion. I declined, sort of always regretted it.

I remember being really struck at just how big the Stuka is -- doesn't really come through in 1:72!

Pappy, the thing about the Stuka that struck me is the build quality, it looked to me as though the local blacksmith made it. Not what I expected of a German plane.
