Re: Corgi Bismarck Swordfish

You do fabulous work, Pappy. Let me guess ... you’re using a Canon EOS 30D with a MACRO 105mm F2.8 EX DG lens. Right?

Re: Corgi Bismarck Swordfish

Thanks Gort! AS for the camera, I wish but, um, no -- I think you may need a new EXIF data reader ????

I'm using a Nikon D50 with the stock 18-55mm lens, I shoot in AP at F16 -- handheld -- most of the time. For some of the real close stuff (none of these shots) I use the D50's macro mode.

Re: Corgi Bismarck Swordfish

That's right baby Nikon D50. I just got one myself.

Ya that D50 is awsome too....I love the way you can see the reflects from the bottom glass.

I mainly collect tanks, but couldn't pass up this plane. Great model.

Re: Corgi Bismarck Swordfish

Nice pictures of the Swordfish, PappyB .

I'm still kind of deciding between the Bismarck Swordfish or the Swordfish w/floatplanes, and with your superb pictures it now leans towards
the Bismarck one!

Neat pics PappyB. Personally I favour Canon but don't have a digital SLR yet.

Canon makes some great digital SLRs, no doubt. For me it was all about price -- you can't beat the D50 for bang for the buck, though I really would have loved the D80... got the camera and 18-55mm lens for $550 a year ago, new. Canon was another $400 or so at the time. ANd I have some legacy lenses from a Nikon 6006 35mm SLR that I can use with the D50.
