| Where's the SAAF gone???? While waiting for my mate at our favourite breakfast hangout earlier this morning I got a nasty shock when I picked up the newspaper. We have no viable air defence network!  The Cheetahs were grounded in April with Gripens only arriving next year! What's more, the Zimbabwean Airforce is more potent and has been training SAAF personnel for the last three years!!! Am I dreaming??? They do indeed. I remember just before their independance new Hawk trainers arrived. A number of which were to be destroyed a short time later. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Where's the SAAF gone???? As the saying goes....an armed force is only as good as its country's pockets allow. I would find such news alarming if I was a South African. Hope your government can find the funds to rectify the situation. | |||||||||||||
