Re: newly discovered Denmark bunkers

Very interesting how bits of history always surface when they are ready.
Just like old Corgi diecast you might be hunting,..... wait long enough and it will turn up.

Thumbs up Re: newly discovered Denmark bunkers

Very interesting discovery. I wonder whether they were able to photograph the facilities in the state that they found. The complete bunkers would make them a decent historical site much like a museum and well worth visiting. Thanks for posting.

Re: newly discovered Denmark bunkers

According to a usually unreliable radical left wing Internet blogger, this might be the undisclosed "secure" location where Dick Cheney was tucked safely away immediately after the unfortunate events of 9/11. Did they spot any hunting gear or shotguns in the bunkers?

Re: newly discovered Denmark bunkers

Interesting story, it always makes me wonder what else is buried just waiting to be found, like all those German planes buried under Berlin Airport..

What's the story on the German planes Harry? Sounds interesting.

Re: newly discovered Denmark bunkers

Supposedly, as the story goes, when the Russians took Berlin they wanted the airstrip cleared of aircraft. The airstrip administrator was under heavy pressure (probably the Stalin kind of pressure) to get things running so he hurridly buried fully armed/fueled fighters and bombers in underground bunkers under tons of dirt.
There was a story floating around about it, but I don't know how true it is.
