I had never heard of this before. Truly an interesting article to say the least. Have to admit the P-51 in blue illustratrion looked pretty sharp.
 

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Yes very true! That all-Navy blue (White 22) would of been a beautiful bird!

I agree it would of been cool to see her painted up in the Navy dark sea blue colors.
