Thumbs down Re: Berkeley strikes again!

Oh don't get me started! Your title should say: Berzerkley strikes again! Too bad, I have friends who graduated there.

Re: Berkeley strikes again!

I haven't been following this, is this related to the Oakland Airport incident?

I presume you mean this incident? FOXNews.com - Probe: Oakland Airport Broke No Rules in Leaving Troops on Tarmac - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News

I don't see them as related. Berkeley has a long history of extremely far left politics. Personally, I think political leaders there act more for shock value than a sincere desire for change, though I also believe they are extremely radical in their views.

Too bad, I have friends who graduated there

I hear you, flyXwire. I remember going there on a school field trip as a kid and Cal had a nice academic reputaion then.

Re: Berkeley strikes again!

Like any other town, I'm sure Berkeley is receiving a lot of federal tax money to support various projects. Hopefully that money is in the process of being cut off as we speak.

If I'm reading this right, it isn't the university (this time). It is the actual town of Berkeley that's doing this.

Well, Berzerkley takes a back-seater when it comes to Stanford University in Palo Alto, imho.

The City Council, to be specific. But, if you know anything about Berkeley, there is not much difference.

I hear ya! It's been close to twenty years since I've been there. I'm betting not much has changed.
Hopefully the USMC already has the statement prepared for when Berkeley starts screaming for federal help after the next earthquake levels that place...
