Re: Disabled spy satellite could land in US

Ary you sure, Skunky? I'd heard it was heading for Ann Arbor, Michigan!

A disabled spy satellite for the new UM football coach? What happened to Rodriquez?

sorry...I couldn't resist this one!

Re: Disabled spy satellite could land in US

Sounds like a perfect opportunity for a real world test of the missile defense system...

Ha! You'll notice no one at the Pentagon has suggested this...

Wonder if it will land on the white house and get rid of bush???

Now that's tempting but...
Maybe it'll land on LA and take out all those tax dodging Canadians...(and wipe out the comedy film industry as a result)!

This would really thin out L.A.'s gridlocked traffic. Plus, if the satellite hurried up and hit before next Tuesday, it would probably take out most of o' them worthless presidential candidates, too. Everyone but [insert name of your favored candidate here] is a shlemiel, anyway.

So: c'mon L.A.! Baby needs some new waterfront property and new field of presidential candidates! (What?! There's no "smiley rolling the dice" emoticon?! Someone needs to fix that, pronto! The smiley industry has let me down...)

Nrrrm! Whoosh! Rat-tat-tat!

Load the remains on the back of a 747 and send it back to the Kennedy Space Center. Then they can put it on display and charge ya $15.00 to see it, $5.00 for the kiddies under 18, and Seniors and Vets get in free. Charge $4.00 for a hotdog or burger with a $2.00 cold drink and your all set. Get some lost revenue back.

Re: Disabled spy satellite could land in US

It could land on a topless bar and take out Bill Clinton.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

...or on the Capitol Building. That would take a bunch of idiots all out at once.

Re: Disabled spy satellite could land in US

Does anybody really think that the military doubted for a single minute that this missile intercept would be a success?...I mean for as much press as it got it certainly would have been just a bit of an embarrassment had it missed, wouldn't it?....I think it was a good opportunity to put certain other nations on notice, and I have to believe they had a lot more confidence that the sysyem would work than they let on....otherwise I think it would have been kept hush-hush at least until after it was (successfully) all over.....and no, I'm not in any way a conspiracy theorist.
