The problem is that they aren't just useless, the UN is both useless and dangerous! IMHO, the clown Kofi Anan was as corrunpt and evil as any two-bit dictator and had a history of opposing and outright hostility to the U.S. and Israel (afterall his idol was Yasser Arafat). Anyway, I digress.

I wish the UN would take it's act to another country that really wants it. Enough of diplomatic immunity protecting all of these criminals committing assault, rape, theft and other crimes in the U.S.!

It looks like the motion to abolish (or exile) the UN is unanimous so far.

Interesting story recently... a Kuwaiti diplomat was expelled from the U.S. for keeping and treating his domestic servants like slaves (or worse). It is about time!

It amazes me how many would like to subjugate our laws to those of the UN. Absolute heresy! I wish that, if nothing else, they would at least move it out of the US. The citizens of NYC shouldn't have to put up with those fools.

I'm not condoning the corruption, lack of effectiveness, and general anti-US sentiments of the UN. However, as much of an irritant as it is, there is an advantage to having the UN HQ'd in NY- it makes it a lot easier for our intel community to do their job. How much easier is it for the FBI and CIA to keep track of various spies posing as "trade attaches" and so forth by having these people coming to NY, rather than going through the hassle of trying to track them in Paris or Geneva?

Perhaps, but the TDY pay and other expenses surely would be cheaper than keeping them here. Let them go to Europe where attitudes about foriegners change daily.
