Elmer, you are not alone! I certainly take that nut from Iran seriously. Them going nuclear would be a very grave thing, and I hope and pray that it can be stopped. I appreciate Bush's taking it seriously. It's great that the new French leaders are on board, and I hope Putin will change his stance on this.

Re: Bush raises specter of 'WWIII' if Iran gets nuclear arms

There is no doubt that Iran with a nuclear weapons capability is nothing short of disastrous but history has shown time and again that fighting on too many fronts at once can be just as disastrous.
The initial objective has to be attained before launching a new one. I firmly believe that the enemy's overall objective is to stretch NATO's resources and resolve to the max. We have all been watching the Middle East
while the bear was sleeping but the bear is waking up and he seems to be hungry!

And just what would have Gore done better after 911? Or Kerry had he won? Or for that matter, you think the Dems will secure our borders? Keep dreaming!! Hopefully the vets of this generation will mature into government leaders who have more balls than the current 60s-70s generation.

Ouch. I am from that 60s-70s generation of which you speak. I also retired with just under 24 years of honorable military service. I kind of remember defending a country that actually encouraged freedom of speach. Have things changed that much?
