What squadrons were the Phantom and Thud from?

I will get that information when I go back in a couple of weeks. (That and some more pictures.)

Re: Historic Aviation Memorial Museum in Texas

Fun day at the museum today. There was a bit of a slow period, so I headed over to the restoration hangar for a look at the projects currently in the works. Currently they are working on a Skyraider, H-19 Chickasaw, and a Catalina. They also have Cougar that will require a quite a bit of work as another future project. Had a good time looking over and into some of these projects. Start off with some shots of the Skyrader.

Some neat wing folding mechanism detail.

Nice big engine.

Re: Historic Aviation Memorial Museum in Texas

Cougar is in pretty rough shape, but the folks here have done some pretty neat work.

I am looking forward to when they have the Skyraider restoration finished. Folks doing the restoration work indicated the Catalina will be a 3 to 4 year project.
