| Re: Patton Museum - Fort Knox, KY I believe they have days when you can get on the vehicles on static dispaly. They get a bunch of soldiers to stand as safetys and make sure no one falls off. I saw a Boy Scout troop do it in 2004. | ||||||||||||||

Unfortunately, I don't think that is possible at this place. Climbing on, yes, but getting inside, no. You won't bother thinking about getting inside anyways. You'll be too busy staring at the King Tiger. Seriously, you can probably spend 20 minutes just staring. There's no place in the museum where you can step back far enough and get a good pic of it because it is so big. But buddy was up against a wall and a LVT-2 to get that pic. As a matter of fact, when you look at the frontal armor of the King Tiger, there are still pock marks from Sherman tank rounds hitting it. | |||||||||||||||
