Thumbs up Re: New England Air Musuem

I finally got to visit the N.E.A.M on 12/29/07, and was a real treat. [They even have electric carts for geezers like me.] Man, that F-105 is HUGE-first one I've seen. That silver F-100 is also a show stopper. Funny incident: Young Dad, probably an engineer at P&W, explaining to his sons how thrust is generated in a jet engine -- boys were about 2 and 3 1/2. I almost asked him to repeat for my benefit. LOL Great stuff on Civilian side- the Sikorsky "Queen of the Sky" was very impressive as was the gondola from the Navy blimp. Both display bays a little too tight for good pix, but I fired away, regardless. The gift shop is next to worthless and should be put out of its pain. However, I did pick up three Squadron/Signal Publications: F9F Panther; F-105 Thunderchief; and F-8 Crusader. Since these three birds are now the topic de jour on TMH I figured they be helpful in selecting future issues. Sometime in February it's off to the N.A.S. Museum in Pensicola.

Wow! Those are some really nice shots. I can't say I've been to a place quite like that. The only thing is . . . where do they keep the Lancs, Spits and Hurricanes(!!!) I jest -- super shots, TN!

Better be careful, Skunky.

TN told me that before he left Scrotesville, he used to teach contracts at the local junior college.....
