Von Richtoven Crash Diorama

Kind of macabre scene, but it is very interesting...

I'm not one to be squeamish, but they could have done without the corpse.

Kind of reminds me of the Princess Diana death pics, which I have no interest in studying.....

I have a painting done by Russell Smith called "Feeding on the Legend" and it left out MVR.
But again i guess they wanted to make as real as they could for the museum.

Sorry, not comparable at all - the reality of war is not pleasant and should not be diluted for the sensibilities of some, lest they come to believe that it is less ugly than it really is ...

Thanks, but no one on this forum needs to give me a lecture about the realities of war. IMO, the corpse is unnecessary and adds nothing to the display.

Re: Von Richtoven Crash Diorama

Very interesting. Regarding the corpse, I can take it or leave it.

Tophat, there was absolutely no intention to give you a 'lecture' on the realities of war. All I was pointing out was that, in my opinion, your analogy between the museum display and the disgraceful behaviour of the paparazzi and publishers regarding the Diana pictures, is not a fair basis of comparison. I also respect your view that you don't approve of the 'corpse' aspect of the Richtofen display - I just don't happen to agree with you.
