Fort Hood Armor Museums.

Army Posts usually have static tank and armor displays about, but Fort Hood goes one better. On Fort Hood there are actually two separate museums that individually are pretty impressive. Combine the two together and you have some fun looking at the different vehicles on display. Both museums have an nice blend of WWII through modern day armored vehicles, artillery pieces, anti tank guns and Army Aviation static displays. My son and I had a nice couple of days looking at the different tanks and vehicles on display. Here a few of the pictures I took while there.

Re: Fort Hood Armor Museums.

I am a big fan of the Stewart light tank too. Fort Hood has 5 different Stuarts between the two museums. The one painted with Japanese markings is done so to reflect those captured in the Philippines. Here are a few more Stewart pictures.

Re: Fort Hood Armor Museums.

That's an impressive Museum. It's very sad that I have never been there since it is only a few hours away.

Keep'em flying.
