Kalamazoo Air Zoo

Since relocating to Michigan, I have become a volunteer at the Air Zoo. Here is the latest addition to the collection. This Grumman Albatross was flown by Howard Hughes at one time.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Very cool MD! I grew up in Western Michigan and have been to Kalamazoo a few times. Wish I could've gone to the Air Zoo but seeing as I was 18 the last time I visited Michigan I wouldn't have had many chances. I've lived in S. California over half my life but still consider myself a Michigan boy (all three of my brothers do too).

Anyway, it's nice to know where others on this board are located!

Re: Kalamazoo Air Zoo

Great news Mustangdriver! I'm an hour or so from there. I know a hobby shop. I'll PM you.

We take the 7th graders to the AirZoo every spring.

You'll only have a 2 hour drive or so to the great Yankee Air Museam too and their neat little show next summer.

Re: Kalamazoo Air Zoo

Thanks guys. I am looking forward to Thunder since I will be so close. Another cool thing is that I just cut like 2/3 of my Oshkosh travel time out as well. I really do like it in Michigan.

Re: Kalamazoo Air Zoo

The F-11 is getting a little TLC. She will be back out before too long along with the F-104.
