Thumbs up 1:10 scale model of the Yamato

Check out the pics of this 1:10 scale model of the battleship Yamato at the Kure Maritime Museum in Japan.

Really amazing work was done on this model. So now if Hobby Master would only expand their lineup with one of these.

Holy cow. That is really amazing. I take it this was intended for use in a movie about the Yamato?

I don't think any of our 'dens' would be big enough to hold that beauty! And speaking of beautiful models has anybody seen the beautiful model (can't remember scale) metal Spitfire presented to the RAF Museum at Hendon? It is in the main entrance hall and took the maker something like 15 years to craft. Beautiful and priceless. Maybe some of the UK members could post some photos?

Wow! What a model! Can I borrow it? I'd like to sail to Europe.

Yep there's a thread about that one already: Spitfire thread

That Yamato is fairly impressive, nice piece of work that.

Re: 1:10 scale model of the Yamato

Now thats what I call a model. It reminded me of a 1:50 scale model of the Bismark built by Blohm & Voss as the Bismark was being constructed.Very nice indeed and aparently a model of the Hipper was done at the same time.

There are more here http://www.bismarck-class.dk/shipmod...lohmvoss1.html
