| Re: Kakamigahara Aerospace Museum, JP
They had a lot of WW II model airplanes and some drawings of the Hein on display. I don't think many Japanese WW II planes survived the war or its immediate aftermath. One of my hosts on that trip mentioned that the first time he saw a Zero was at the Air and Space Musuem in Washington DC. The Chiran museum does have some original planes. But they don't allow photography inside. See http://themodelhangar.com/forum/show...41&postcount=1

| Re: Kakamigahara Aerospace Museum, JP
Could be there aren't any to be had. The number of Japanese aircraft that survived the war to begin with was quite small and only a small number of those that wound up as war prizes have made it back, ususally to the "shrines" where presumably they are willing to expend more resources to get them than a more general aviation museum. At least this lets them promote aviation without turning into a contentious issue.
