That is awsome. You never know what you will see there.

Very true....you almost have to be armed with a camera at all times when you're outside because you'll never know what you'll miss

Re: Wright-Patterson National Air Force Museum (Dayton Ohio)

There certainly seems to be a lot to see there and what Mustangdriver said about the reinactors there...when there aren't any.

Saw this on the web, which is why I was prompted to ask about paranormal activity there.

Ancient Hawaiians believed in the concept of Mana, in which anything touched by human hands retained some of the life energy of the person who touched it. Sort of like a psychic tape recording. It doesn't surprise me that aircraft in which people died would retain the same. And Lady Be Good definately has some bad energy, according to the article, but also according to its history. The same holds true for other objects such as Samurai swords, as they are said to have retained the life energy of both their makers...and those whose lives were taken by them. Also, according to that Strawberry Bitch isn't exactly a friendly machine to be around either....I'm curious as to whether a belly gunner actually died in her.

Interesting read. I've heard the stories of Hop-along, and Lady Be Good but I haven't heard the other ones.

Re: Wright-Patterson National Air Force Museum (Dayton Ohio)

I think that a ball turret gunner did die in it, at least I know that during it's combat career it had two different ball turrets. One being replaced due to damage.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Whew!...For a moment there I thought maybe there really was something to all that malarkey about things being touched by human hands retaining life energy and stuff..

Re: Wright-Patterson National Air Force Museum (Dayton Ohio)

I haven't been since 1985. I was only able to tour for one day (not enough for me).

I know this is a hard question to answer, but here goes anyway: how many days do you recommend for a thorough tour?
