Re: USAFM restoration shop

I think that you are correct. I know that if I go to an air museum, and they have something like a diecast of one of the aircraft in their collection, I will e more likely to get it. It serves as an addition to your collection, as well as a keepsake from the trip. I try to do that from each air museum I visit.

Hey if you could by chance find out who the right people are maybe you should put a bug in someone's ear in about corgi doing National Museum of the United States Air Force exclusives..I think it would take them a while to run out of things to do

Re: USAFM restoration shop

I will have to talk to Cindy. She can point me in the right direction. I think that you are right, Corgi could really clean up if they would do it. We used to have the Franklin Mint Memphis Belle for sale there in 1/48th. But when the Belle was moved to our museum for restoration and permenant display, we sold out in like a week!

Sounds like a winner to me...you can count me in on anything they'd make...is your new avatar from the restoration shop?

Hey, if we're having a few of us MH2 types meeting at the Museum in November, I'd be interested!

Re: USAFM restoration shop

That would be awsome. I can get you guys over to the shops, and just hang out around the museum. I would even do that on a day that I wasn't working. I will keep everyone posted.

Re: USAFM restoration shop

Well the Beaufighter went on display in the WWII hangar, as it is just about finished. THe Mig 29 is getting ready for paint, and it will be moved into the museum shortly as well as the RF-84. Work is now starting on the verticle stabalizer of the Memphis Belle.
