Hey guys, thanks for all the tips. Looks like Planes of Fame it is, though the CAF field does have a pull. We were also planning on spending aday at the Getty, but thanks to the tip-off as to the "special exhibit" at Ripley's, maybe I'll head there instead.

No airplanes there but if you have any interest in art or architecture the Getty is great.

There's a surprisingly good one in Palm Springs, but it's a bit far from LA if you're contrained by time. Some really knowledgable docents on site. Split into two sections: USAAF & USN. Good looking restored Douglas SBD on display.

The Getty , If you go on a weekend bring your hiking boots and some water, parking can be a bear. If you off site park , thats were the boots and water come in........
