Re: Kalamazoo Air Zoo

I'm about an hour from there and they have a sweet Torch Dauntless like the one HM is releasing. I see you made it over to that other building by the look of that red and white check Corsair. Sure wish I had a good pic of that Dauntless but mine came out way dark. Love the Jolly Rogers F-14 too.

They actually flew it there. The same with the SR-71 which mad the trip in like an hour, from California. Then the government took the engines out and kept them. Figures. My aunt knows the guys who painted the walls, incredible artwork! This place is a must see for aviation buffs and the simulator is 360. Pull back on the stick and you're hanging on your straps...awesome.

Hey man, if you would like, I can burn you a photo CD with the pics of my trip on it. There are some great pics of the SBD on it.

Re: Kalamazoo Air Zoo

That is an F-84. It sits out side the museum along with an early model Lear Jet, and a B-57.

Re: Kalamazoo Air Zoo

That thing is sitting low like the tires are flat.
How tall are you?
My mistake i meant the Thunderjet F-84 not the F100 supersabre.

Re: Kalamazoo Air Zoo

I think it was sitting a little low. The tires were not flat, but maybe the struts were low. Althought it does sit pretty low like that. I am 6'1''.
