Re: Lone Star Flight Museum

Here are some scans of personal pics from a guy I met that was in the Army, and was the first to arrive at LBG site after her discovery. That is him in the pics. These have never been published before

Re: Lone Star Flight Museum

Those are great photos. Thanks for posting them. Could you imagine being one of they guys to find it?

Re: Lone Star Flight Museum

That is really cool to share the pics..
I bet it had to be interesting to be there with the "Lady be Good"
when it was found.

Re: Lone Star Flight Museum

Yeah, it's nice to see some different angles of the crash site..thanks Warhawk...Thanks also to JP for passing on the sad photos of the Lady's current state... would have been nice if it could have just been left alone, but the human vultures would have eventually gutted it anyway.

I did see the artifacts that were on display at the Air Force museum in Dayton. It's shameful what the Libyan government has done with the remainder of it.

Re: Lone Star Flight Museum

Does anyone know if there are any movements underway to try and bring her back here or anything? I will be honest and say that there are at least some useful parts there.

Yes, but I don't think you'd want to put any of them in your T-6!!.......(you know what they say....... )

Re: Lone Star Flight Museum

I had thought I heard that it's been so picked over by people that there's really nothing great left.....that was on another board. Even still, it would be nice to bring those 'guys' home once and for all.
