Model Power Model List

Does anyone have a complete list of Model Power's Postage Stamp series?

How about a list of models soon to be released?

Has anyone seen pictures of the upcoming P61 Black Widow...not the black and red one?

Re: Model Power Model List

Model Power issued its planes in lots, based on the color of the box they used. Many of these are no longer shown on Model Power's own website as they are probably sold out. The closest to a list of all of their planes is on Aiken's Airplanes website, which lists MP's Postage Stamp series by box color. In most cases, pictures are available, even when the model is shown as "sold out".

Re: Model Power Model List

I like Aiken's. They have a great list. I was just wondering if that was a full list. Model Power's website is lacking quite a bit. They don't list all of their models whether they are discontinued or not and it doesn't appear as though they list all of their current models if they aren't in stock.

Re: Model Power Model List

I might be unusual here, but I am one of the few fans of Model Power aircraft!! Similiar to HobbyMaster and IXO, they have produced some rare/unpopular aircraft of WW2 such as the Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu 'Nick' and the Kawanishi N1K2 Kyofu 'Rex' floatplane!! Just like any other diecast manufacturer, however, there are some MP diecast that are better than others.

Re: Model Power Model List

I'm not a Model power fan, but I buy their models as fill-ins and sometimes redo them with some success. It's a shame, though, that they made planes like the Betty, Nick and Mig-23 so tiny. Even with their silly fixation on scaling the models to fit a standard sized box, these could have been done a good bit larger. On the plus side, some of their recent entries are getting better as to quality and even size. Hopefully, they won't revert to their old Lilliputian mentality when they finally set the specs for their promised F-105, BF-110, TBF, and Mariner.

I don't think you're that unusual, Theodore. I myself have a few of them, such as the P-26, and a couple of WW I birds in "near" 1:72.

Nope, I would guess that many of us here have a few Model Power aircraft. Some of them are very well done.

There are some models that MP makes that I would like to see the "serious" companies make. The MiG-15 and Super Etendard, for example. If these models are selling for MP, surely they would sell for HM, Witty, etc?

BTW, welcome to the forum, Hawk1977.
