At one time there were four hobby shops within my local area, but three have since shut down. Closest one is a forty minute drive to Tyler Texas and it is a Hobby Town USA. Not to bad a shop, but at one time Tyler had a good old fashion Mom & Pop type hobby shop that was just packed with great stuff. | |||||||||||||||

I have been in a few Hobby Town stores. They did not impress me, they try to be all things to all people. Guess it might work for them but they hurt the small local guy who cares about his customers. | |||||||||||||||

That is pretty much the impression I get. I look for a hobby shop that focuses strictly on models, no RC or craft stuff. Unfortunatley, not to many shops like that left anymore. | |||||||||||||||

| Re: 3 Rivers IPMS 2008 show I agree with smartd on Hobby Town. I went to a local one for the first time a while back, with great anticipation. Not impressed at all. The had a little bit of a lot of different things, not too much diecast at all. I spet all of maybe five minutes in there, if even that. | ||||||||||||||
