Scrap wood and a Dremel

Back about 15 years ago I'd been waiting for a model of the Caribou and Buffalo in 72nd scale. i got a Dremel tool for Christmas that year and decided to try it out. The only drawings I had were line drawings in Jane's pocket recognition guides so I scaled from those and these are the finished projects. Honest opinions only, they've been in a trunk for the last 10 years and I just want to know if anyone wants to critique them for me.

Re: Scrap wood and a Dremel

My only critique is why you waited 10 years to display them. They look great. And the fact that you did it with a dremel freehand is even more reason to have them out on display.

Re: Scrap wood and a Dremel

They look great! I assume you used more than a Dremel, ie, saws to cut out the pieces, sand paper, etc?

Back when I was a teenager, I did WW I birds, hand carved out of balsa wood. Are yours pine?

Re: Scrap wood and a Dremel

Sorry about that, no intent to mislead. Yes, the tools you mentioned were used and yes they are pine. The Dremel was used in the contour and shaping part of construction.

NO apology needed, maple, I don't feel I was misled, just wanted to clarify is all.
