Two bargain kits-how good???

I found these two kits at Hobby Lobby yesterday, and since I haven't built any airplane models since 1962, you could rightfully deduce that I don't anything about current models. I bought these strictly on the basis of the low prices and the fact that both planes are prop jobs with cool markings. And I do want to renew my modelmaking of aircraft now.

How are these kits in terms of over-all detail, quality, authenticity, ease of build, and the fun-factor?
Anything especially notable on the negative side?
How are Minicraft Model Kits regarded by modelers?

THANKS for looking.

Minicraft usually make nice kits, you should not have any problems.

Yeah, I'd GENERALLY agree with smartd - but, trouble is, as with MANY maufacturers, they have their 'dogs' & 'diamonds'

If we were talking 'Academy-Minicraft' C.97's or B.29/B.50's then they are 'MUSTARD' !

I can't comment on these two kits though, as I've no knowledge of them.

I HAVE had loads of experience with 'Academy-Minicraft' as a whole, though & have to admit most of their stuff is good to favourable....

Though not quite in the league of Tamiya/Hasegawa/Eduard - except maybe those Boeing 'offerings' I've mentioned, in 1/72.

You boys are taking th' *iss !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Academy-Minicraft C.97/B.29/B.50........ = "MUSTARD"

London-spk..... = "MUSTARD" = 'Razor-Sharp' - 'Choice' - 'Highly-Delectable' - 'The-Dog's-*ock' - 'Scorching' - 'Jolly-Spiffing' (to those Yanks who STILL thinks everyone in England speaks like the Queen !)

Ed, you're forgiven - what's your excuse, rodent ?

Re: Two bargain kits-how good???

Thanks, Hornchurch. I figured it was either a complement or an insult, just wasn't sure which!

Cause I figured, in (much) past dialogue we've exchanged over the years, YOUR knowledge of English Language & 'expression' was 'up to scratch'.........

Didn't have you tagged as an untravelled 'Hick'
