Tamiya weathering kits

I picked up two of these the other day to try them out. The have three colors in each kit with a two sided applicator. I wasn't sure, but figured it couldn't hurt to try one, and if I didn't like it, I could just remove it. Turns out, I love these things. Very cool. I was able to do realistic exhaust stains on the P-51.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Tamiya weathering kits

Yes they are handy. And i once thought i was never get to use the snow powder but it turns up well on my Type 212A lower hull. Along with the soot for darkening the panel lines throughout the hull and tower. Nice.

Re: Tamiya weathering kits

I am really impressed. I just did a Mustang and used the soot ones for exhaust stains.
