Tuesday Morning- Star Wars

I know some of the members of this forum collect all things Star Wars so here is a heads-up. The August TM flyer, which I believe advertises specials to be put out tomorrow morning, lists die-cast "Titanium" Star Wars figures ($6.99) and vehicles ($9.99). You can see images from the circular if you go to the TM website.

Re: Tuesday Morning- Star Wars

Stopped in my local TM today and I was surprised to see a large selection of the Titanium Starwars figures/vehicles along with an odd BSG Titanium Galactica..

Re: Tuesday Morning- Star Wars

Just picked up a Galactica, plus an AT-AT and a Snowspeeder.

They also had a lot of Milenium Falcons, Slave1's and Tri fighters, plus a small selection of figures. No BSG figures though.

Ooops!

Re: Tuesday Morning- Star Wars

Old Crow and all others -

THANKS for the huge "heads-up" on these things - ESPECIALLY the Galactica find!. As soon as I read this thread, I let the receptionist know that I was going out of the office and I'd be back within an hour.

I picked up a Tie fighter and the Galactica.

I had only seen that Galactica ONCE in a Target when they were first released (for $20) - then occasionally on Ebay for very high prices. I had regreted not picking that one up at-that-time, ever since. Honestly I was just thinking about that particular model this last week, when I started the discussion post "Diecast regrets..." There IS Karma and a Diecast God

Thanks again for the "heads-up"/recon - MUCH appreciated!

Re: Tuesday Morning- Star Wars

Congrats to you, DADoser! I too went out during my lunch hour to pick up the Galactica. I almost got Vader's Advanced TIE Starfighter but the mom w/her 8 yr. old son had first dibbs on
that thing. I also got some of the figurines 3PO, Blue-striped Clone Trooper, Classic Sandtrooper and General Grevious. I left the rest and they had the Millen Falcon, Boba's SLAVE I and some
other SW ships I can't recall the names at the moment. The BSG ship is awesome and pretty heavy too!

Re: Tuesday Morning- Star Wars

Well done DA. I to have only enver seen the big Galactica once before.

I have no idea why thay are doing a clearance like this as I've been patroling my local Targte, etc for a long time for these. Doesn't make a lot of sense when they seem to have plenty available.

Re: Tuesday Morning- Star Wars

Stopped at 2 different TMs on the way home from work.....

Added an AT AT to today's score. (only one I've seen at 4 different stores.)

Galactica's at 3 of the 4 stores - evidently its not the Woodridge Phantom of the last Corgi "dump."

One of the stores had only one ship (and a bunch of empty shelf) on an end cap in the back of the store. Hit by an Ebay entrepreneur, perhaps???????

Re: Tuesday Morning- Star Wars

These are long gone from the TM's in the Phoenix metro area.

However, this weekend I was in St. Loius/Southern IL and stopped in a TM in O Fallon, IL - just off I-64 and on old rt. 50 -(hoping to find some long lost Corgi that had been overlooked) and found/bought an ARC 170. I had not seen this ship at ANY TM when these things hit. They also had an AT-AT which I picked up for a friend.

It looked like they had almost EVERY item - ships and figures - that they got for the original flyer date 3 weeks ago. They were still on an end cap with the flyer sale/sign posted.

No Corgi aircraft however.
