In the last month or so, I have been contacted by many long-term members who are getting tired of "Off-topic thread hi-jacking/useless posting" in the general forum and inside The "Pub" forum. The "Pub" forum was designed mostly for "Off-topic" subject matter not related to the realm of aviation/armor, and some members have taken this as a free reign to post as they will, which serves no purpose but clutter many good threads within The "Pub" (and General Forum) with worthless banter/comments. This practice is inconsiderate to the original thread starter and members posting within the original discussion. There are a few ongoing threads within The "Pub" that the forum has allowed to exist for such "Off-topic banter" and members wishing to post irrelavent posts can post within those topics.
Worthless threads such as "where is so-and-so"?? and threads dedicated to a singular member will no longer be allowed, unless the thread is discussing a worthwhile topic such as a health problem/or military service, etc.. Some off-topic discussion within the forum is allowed to the extent that it stays relavent to the topic and doesn't take the thread in an off-topic direction. Threads started within the General forum that have no useful purpose other than to evoke nonsense discussion are not allowed and will be removed without warning. The Moderators will be heavily moderating threads within the general forum to clean things up and help keep things on topic..

This statement will also be added to the forum rules for future reference.

Any member found in violation of this announcement will be given a warning, and after that, may find their membership priviledges suspended or revoked.
