Hi everyone, im new here and new to this whole diecast armor thing, ive recieved my first piece of armor today and its a 4th edition minichamps jagdpanther. It looks awesome, im pleased with it, seems sturdy too. But ive noticed something, one of the wheels is different from what is pictured on the box. Im garbage at wording stuff so ill link a photo and highlight whats different.

Theres a photo detailing the differing wheel. The other side of the jagdpanther looks normal, its just on this one side. I thought maybe it was a kind of spare in case the main one at the rear broke, i dunno though.

Just looked at mine & it looks like yours is been fitted with the wrong wheel

Oh dear lol. Is this a bad thing? What should i do? I bought it from themotorpool.net.

Looks like they put a rear idler wheel in place of one of the main bogie wheels. Might want to send it back for a replacement.

I contacted themotorpool.net and told them about it, i said that i am located in the UK and paying for shipping back to the USA would be undesirable for me. They told me the following:

"Hi,
You might want to contact the manufacturer who is located in Germany. My guess is that the entire production run looks like your vehicle, so I'm not sure they'll be able to suggest a remedy.

So im currently waiting for a response from minichamps. I was kinda hoping themotorpool would just send me another one for free but never mind. Logitech did that with some speakers, twice, expensive Z5500 ones too.

Hi think the themotorpool should send you a repayment & they should deal with minichamps in Germany
If you paid with your credit card then i would speak with them telling them you been sold broken goods & you want a refund

Ok, ill send another email to themotorpool and see what they say. It was paypal i used to buy it with, but from experience with eBay they offer users up top £1000 buyer protection or something like that.

I don't really want a refund i just want another jagdpanther thats got the correct wheels and if the entire production runs got the same defect then ordering another from themotorpool will be a no go, and they are the only place that sells them, apart from eBay.

Thanks, ill keep that in mind.

Ive emailed themotorpool.net some more and theyve said that i can return the item and they will ship me a new one. I have to pay for the return charges states their policy and im not sure but i gather that they ship a new one out after they recieve the defective one. I dunno i might just keep it, paying more and waiting a week for them to recieve my jagdpanther and waiting another week for the new one to arrive sounds like a lot of hassle for a wheel.

Will this wheel defect detract from its future value if i ever decide to sell? It personally dosent bother me too much that one wheel is different as the thing still looks good but its the future value that worries me.
