Re: Buying minichamps armour in the USA

I am aware that the following on-line companies have Minichamps military die cast: Diecast Direct (which I can recommend), EWA (limited experience, but all positive), Hobby Bunker (little or no personal knowledge) and Legacy Motors (little or no personal knowledge). There is another company out of New York state which I can not recommend on the basis of a very bad personal experience and very poor customer relations by its owner.

Everyone has very limited product. In fact EWA, which primary deals in die cast cars, currently has only the captured T-34.

If you ordered it from a "pool" maybe that's why it was wet!

Yep, I did........so I probably got what I deserved, obviously not a one-off occurance then

I hope the Centurions fare better.

Two centurions safely in my hands, a measure of redemption I think

Glad to hear that all went well. Nevertheless I suspect that you are tempting fate whenever you trade with this vendor!

Seems to me this was likely something that happened in transit, not at the vendor. I' ve never had any problem with them (and I have ordered Minichamps there myself, though it's not my first choice because their prices are a bit high compared to e-bay. But they do have a decent selection most of the time).
