| need some market value opinions please Hey all, I picked up a few minichamps pieces since the start of the line and am thinking hard about selling them -- simply don't have room for 1:35 vehicles as aircraft get hangar priority in my office.... I have: The R01 Panther Normandy King Tiger (first release king) 88mm Flak gun -- first release, dark gray paint with kill rings on the barrel (might be the only piece I keep as I like to display it with my GMP birds) T-34 -- green with brown camo on turret and barrel "106" on the turret with a cool insignia Any hardcore minichamps collectors out there with good guestimates as to the market value of these pieces? (All are pristine condition, including packaging) Didn't see much ebay history on these to get an idea from... Thanks in advance. | |||||||||||||

| Re: need some market value opinions please Pappy, having followed the line and what is/has been available for sale on line in the US, I can offer my best guesses. Your Panther and KT are your most valuable items. From what I can gage, they are both highly sought after tanks. As I understand your post, you have the original issue Panther, which has long been discontinued. It is one of the finest MC issues. By my gage, you should be able to pull down at least $150 to $200 for it. It could go much higher under the right circumstances in an auction. The KT is likely to bring almost as much--$135 to $200 minimum. Again, an auction has the potential to bring you much more. Until very recently, I saw your T-34 available new on line for about $80. The other two versions of the MC T-34 can still be picked up on line for about that same price. Yours is probably the most desirable of the three. Although the T-34s and Shermans don't seem to be in demand at the same level as the German AFVs, I would say you could probably pull down about $100 for it. An open auction for this item could bring you more, but could also bring a bit less. I see the low end risk as being greater than with your German tanks. A camo version of your 88 can still be hand on line for about $80 as well. I have seen fewer sales/offers for the gun than for the MC AFVs (both WW 2 and more modern). My best guess is that you are likely to pull down between $65 and $90 for it. However, I am the least sure about this item. I hope this is of some help. I certainly can't provide any warranties with my read of the markets for each of these items. Perhaps others on the forum can also provide some input. | |||||||||||||

| Re: need some market value opinions please Thanks KG -- that's pretty close to what I was thinking, so good to know I was in the ballpark. Now, to sell or not to sell, that is the question... | |||||||||||||

| Re: need some market value opinions please
PappyB, I would suggest that you keep the R01 Panther as it'll always be the first (and rarest) Minichamps armour release (If you have to get rid of anything let the rest go, but keep the most precious one as a reminder of all that is good and just in diecast | ||||||||||||||
