Re: New chiftern tank

Turret area looks nice, but looks like someone's jacked up the back-end (no-pun intended !!!)....& the back-end of the side-skirt looks too short & tapered, to me, judging by my recollections of the Centurions I've seen.

Are they doing a Cheiftain as well ????????

Re: New chiftern tank

Of course, we need to clarify to people that this is not a Chieftain, but a Centurion.

Good thread about the Centurion, here.

Re: New chiftern tank

Some good info there, thanks Mr. F.

My father used to be a radio operator on one of these tanks in post-war Germany, he'll enjoy the info

Talking Re: New chiftern tank

I must say it looks good. Would have liked the Chieftain though. I've decided to take the plunge and get a German tank or two. First order of business will be the Leopard 2.

I have the European Cammo Leopard 2, and it is a very fine model indeed. Highly recommended (even though it no longer represents the current version of that tank in service with the Bundeswehr. They are up to the A5 and A6 upgrades now).

That Centurion looks good, but I'd like one in Israeli colors/cammo... That tank saw most of its combat action with Israel.
