Re: T-72

I currently have the Minichamps 1/35 T-72s in stock. Received them just a few days ago.

Re: T-72

The Skidmarksdiecast-procured T-72 is now in my collection, and I like it a lot. I like the Minichamps quality and heft. The tank of course looks factory-new, as all Minichamps do, but I rather like that. The T-72 now sits next to the Leopard II (European cammo): cold war enemies from either side of the old inter-German border.

Skidmarks' price for this tank was really good. Thanks for a great transaction.

Hey, FVD!

Nice tank you got there.

Did you know that Minichamps is a German company and resides in Aachen, about 90 kilometers from my place?

So how does that ammo belt look then? From pics I saw the belt was green. Sometimes I just find small things niggle. Like the nose gear doors on the HM Mirage 2000.

The tracks are VERY clean black. But I'm sure if you roll them in the mud a couple of times, it'll look better .

Hi AA, no time no talk (we have to change that!).

Anyway, sure, I knew Minichamps is German. However, I did not know how close it was to your location (and not that far from mine either, really). Maybe I should pay them a visit (?).

I wish they made the M-1A1 in European cammo, like in the old cold war days.

The ammo belt on the turret machine gun is indeed green. Could easily be remedied with some paint, and I might just to that. It's not THAT visible, but I agree this could have been done better.

BTW, the nose gear doors on the 2000 don't bother me as much as that panel line on the radome...

As I thought.

Does the gap at the gun mantlet look prominent? I hate gaps....why don't they use something else instead of 100% diecast mantlet.

Yeah, it's been a while... How about the coming weekend?

Ah, okay. Since it's not strictly my scale I don't know much about the manufacturer. They have a german homepage, but I don't know if they have a store or exibition. Anyways, I got some sources where to get the stuff for a decent price.

That would be cool! Well, if I come across Minichamps cheap I might buy some, too.
