Re: Matchbox Cockpits So Good

Corgi dropped the ball and should offer retro-fit pilots for it's 1/32's. I am so happy to see they finally got the message. Have any of you looked in a Swordfish cockpit lately? Outstanding!!!

Re: Matchbox Cockpits So Good

I was browsing Flying Mule and was looking at the Sea Hurricane in 1/32. When I hit the photo showing the cockpit with the pilot I did a double take. It looked like Ronald McDonald was going to war!

Re: Matchbox Cockpits So Good

The core of my collection is still MB and I've always wondered why some look down their nose at the line. I love my MBs and they still stack up well with my Corgis and Dragons. I never had a problem with the gear up only as I display 90% of my models in flight. And I bet I didn't pay over 12 bucks for any of mine, even the two P-38s, which look great. Now I gotta pay 25 or 30 bucks for a 1/72 fighter, so I'm a little more choosey. Think about it- you could get 2 MBs for the price of 1 Corgi/Dragon now. Despite their inaccuracies MB had a nice line of collectibles and I'm proud to own an example of all of them.

Louie, a better alternative would be the FOV 1/32nd scale pilots. They are the best and you get two - one seated and one standing. The 21st Century one's are not too shabby as well.

Yeah, the pilots and cockpit details are nice on the MB...I couldn't agree more.
